Happy Mabon

Also known as autumn equinox to non celtic folks, it’s the time of year when day and night are equal for a moment before the balance slides towards darkness.  It’s a time to gather in the year’s harvest and make sure homes are warm and safe for the winter.

This morning had a decidedly cool dampness that is a sure sign the season’s are on the move.  But I’d already started thinking about autumn, in the form of pumpkins!  Here are a few of my little tributes to the fall harvest.

They were sculpted in the flame from Italian art glass. I tend to work small for some reason, so each one is only as big as the tip of my finger. These little cuties are available now in my etsy shop or see me at my next market – Oct 2 Art an Mart in Victoria Hall, Dunblane 11-4.
