This week I’ve had some ideas for hollow pendants that I wanted to follow up with. Working with a hollow design allows for the piece to have a large enough size for visual impact without the weight of a solid glass shape.
The down side is of course the hollow shapes are more easily distorted while applying the decorations. I like the blue tear drop with daises, unfortunately the white is slightly translucent so I’ve ended up with a very delicate blue flower design on a blue background that doesn’t pop as much as I would have liked.
The second oval pendant is one I was working with a type of glass that changes colour based on temperature and environment. I’m still not to the point of getting gorgeous purples consistently but did come up with a lovely mirrored silver to the cream stripes.
